I was very sad to hear that Huell Howser had passed away this morning.  With his Tennessee twang against the blue California sky, I enjoyed this man’s excitement over every detail of the journey he was on.  Being a native Californian, he made me seriously look around at the environment that my ancestors evolved from and were proud of.  He made me appreciate the places that I had been as I was growing up and the places that I still plan to visit and learn about as I grow older.  

Mr. Howser, you will be deeply missed.
